My desire was to create something calming. So, the idea to paint a relaxed woman thumbing through a magazine seemed like the perfect theme.

My inspiration led to creating a scene of a still lake background with green woodland edging reflecting in the lake water and snowcapped mountains far in the distance. As the sun shines down on the woman, it makes the docks warm while she sits barefooted reading her magazine, filled with floral basket pictures.

While some art should be exciting there is always room for a lovely, meditative piece. Wall art should serve the viewer’s needs.
