"Someday Soon" is a captivating oil painting by artist Jess Perna that exudes a sense of longing and anticipation. The canvas depicts a serene and idyllic landscape where nature and the human figure coexist in perfect harmony. The painting's composition is dominated by the image of a slender woman in a striking red dress, her back turned toward the viewer.

The woman stands gracefully in the midst of a vast field, the brown grass stretching out until it reaches a tree line in the distance.   A cluster of dark green trees adds depth and contrast to the scene. The setting sun bathes the entire landscape in warm, golden hues that emphasize the tranquility of the moment.

The central figure, the slender woman, is the focal point of the composition. She stands with an air of quiet contemplation, her posture conveying a sense of patience and hopeful expectation. One of her delicate hands is gently wrapped around her waist, accentuating her graceful silhouette, while the other hand delicately holds a strand of her shoulder length, flowing brown hair. This gesture suggests a moment of introspection, as if she is lost in her thoughts, perhaps dreaming of the "Someday Soon" she awaits.

The overall atmosphere of the painting is one of serene beauty and anticipation. It captures a fleeting moment in time, where the world seems to hold its breath, and the viewer is left to wonder about the woman's thoughts and the significance of the place and time depicted. "Someday Soon" is a timeless work of art that invites contemplation and evokes a sense of hope and possibility in the viewer.

    Painting of Woman

Posted by Will Rightfield on Jul 16th 2022

I really enjoyed watching the video to see how it was painted. Jess Perna is very talented and every piece of art in this gallery was well executed. The hard part is figuring out which I want to buy first!

    Woman in a Field Artwork

The woman is hoping something will happen but I don't know what. I like that I have to use my own imagination... It is well painted and very restful to view.

I am so curious what she is thinking about. This is a picture that could hang on the wall forever and I will not stop wondering. Well painted and thoughtful.
